Mrs. Wyonia Fleming McGowan, age 82, of Jerry Road Laurens; earned her Heavenly Wings on July 18, 2023. She was surrounded by those that love her dearly.

On Tuesday, She has left to cherish her memories her husband of 53 years Sammie Lee McGowan, four daughters: Michelle (Craig) Robertson of Raleigh NC, Carolyn Clark of Brooklyn, NY, Georgia Bowers and Leeowner Cook both of Laurens, SC; Two step-daughters: Bobbie Smith of Laurens, SC and Bernice Hawthorne of Greenville, SC; Two step sons: Henry (Diane)McGowan, and Richard McGowan both of Greenville, SC. Wyonia had 19 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. One grandchild raised in the home Andreia Scott. 2 sisters: Johnnie Brasley and Sandra (John) Bennett; 1 brother Billy (Linda) Sullivan; And a host of relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life was held on July 23, 2023 at New China Baptist Church and her final resting place is in the church cemetery.
