Mrs. Vernisha Young Boyd, age 71, went from Labor to Reward on April 30; surrounded by her loved ones at the Hospice of Laurens Facility.

Mrs. Boyd was a 1969 Bell Street High School graduate and a faithful member of Friendship AME Church where she was an assistant class leader, Amanda Gary Women's Missionary Society, Hospitality Committee and Vacation Bible School staff. She also was a member of the VFW Post 5932. She spent her adult life assisting others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at The National Healthcare Facility.

Vernisha will continued to be loved by her husband David Boyd, her children: Brian (Camilla) Boyd of Moore, SC and Demetria (Jeremy) Lomax of Clinton; 9 grandchildren;3 great grandchildren; her siblings: Matthew (Mary) Young and Delores (Marvin) Fuller both of Clinton as well as other relatives and friends.

The Graveside Service for Mrs. Boyd was held on May 4, 2022 in the Orchard Park Memorial Gardens, Clinton SC.
