Mr. Thomas Curtis Rice, age 78, peacefully earned his wings on March 6, 2026 at the Richard Campbell Nursing Home in Anderson SC; surrounded by his loved ones.

Thomas Curtis Rice was born on May 18, 1947 to the late Elise and Thomas Rice. He was raised in Laurens County and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Clinton, SC. Curtis was a 1968 graduate of Bell Street High School. After graduation; He went on to serve the United States in the US Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He eventually retired as a Locomotive Engineer with CSX Transportation train company.

Curtis will be remembered and loved by his brothers: Frederick Michael Rice and Roland Glen Rice; cousins raised like sisters: Shirley Mims and Sara Suber; Nieces: Patreece Shunell Rice, Destiny Renee Williams, Lisa Rice, Poetry Edwards, Larisha Blakely Thompson and Michel'e Rice; Aunts: Carrie Davis Gilliam and Thelma Rice Mattox; and many other loving relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life was held on March 13, 2026 at MT. Moriah Baptist Church in Clinton, SC. His final resting place is in the church cemetery.
