Obituary

Ms. Hattie M. Boyd, age 76, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. She was born July 14, 1944 to Ida Mae McMorris (deceased) and Willie (Imogene) Henderson Sr. Hattie graduate from Clinton High School in 1979. She retired from the State of South Carolina, Whitten Center in 2002. She was a devoted member of Refuge of Worship non-denominational and a faithful member of the Pastoral Care Team.

Hattie left four children to cherish her memories: Douglas M. (Anita) Williams Jr., Laverne W. Goggans, Stefanie Boyd (Marcus Lee), James (Vanessa) Boyd Jr., as well as thirteen grandchildren: Antwion Williams, Sir Prince Williams, Demetria Boyd, Chelsea Goggans, Ke'Otis Goggans, Da'Shari Williams, Damarius Lee, Tysheika Boyd, Dre'Unna Williams, Taylor Boyd, Natalia Boyd, Christian Boyd, and Bishop Boyd. Hattie also had five adorable great-grandchildren Ka'Mya Goggans, Kentavis Waters, KeAshia Waters, Riley Goggans, and Ayla Taylor. Hattie also leaves behind her siblings: Joanne (John) Carter, Kathleen Pitts, Bobbie J. Barr, Mary McMorris, Norma Jean (Louis) Moses, Willie (Fannie) Henderson Jr., Curtis (Dr.Rita) Henderson, George (Yvonne) Henderson, and Bobby Mobley. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special extended family James Boyd Sr, Anita Goggins, and Jerry Young (Elenita).

Graveside services were held January 18,2021 at Orchard Park Memorial Gardens, Clinton SC
