Ms. Azalee Crawford Floyd, age 81 of New Bern North Carolina went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 30, 2024, in the Bayview Nursing & Rehabilitation tFacility of New Bern, NC. She was the last of her immediate family to be at rest.

Ms. Floyd was a 1960 Graduate of Bell Street High School. She went on to earn her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from the God Samaritan Waverly Nursing School in Columbia, SC. Her nursing career flourished throughout South Carolina through North Carolina were she retired in 1997 at the Craven County Health Department.

She will forever be missed by her son and daughter in love Darryl J. and Tammy Floyd, her special nieces: Flossie Turner Giles of Washington DC, Melissa Gary and Shirley Adams both of Charlotte, NC; Derene ( Robert) Turner of Detroit, MI, Marie Adam of Salisbury NC and Charlene (Curtis) Nance of Clinton; one nephew James "Binkie" (Cathy) Turner of Clinton , two cousins, Gloria Dean Young of Clinton MD and JD William of Anderson SC along with a host of other loving, relatives and friends.

The celebration of life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 6 2024 in the Childs Funeral Home Chapel . Her final resting place will be in the Duncan Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
