A Life Well Lived
Ms. Annie Bell Barr, 71, of Clinton, South Carolina entered eternal rest on July 10,2018, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Ms. Barr was born on October 12, 1946, to Mr. Clyde Booker and Ms. Carrie Bell Leake. She was a 1964 graduate of Bell Street High School in Clinton, South Carolina and was employed at Whitten Center in Clinton, South Carolina until her retirement after twenty-eight years. She was a devoted member and servant of Little River Zion Baptist Church in Kinards, South Carolina. In addition to her father, Clyde Booker, Ms. Barr was preceded in death by her son, Wade Barr, Jr. and her brother, Clyde "Sonny" Booker, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memories include: her daughter, Patricia (Ronald) Barr Swindler of Clinton, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Tenisha (Donti) Lewis of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Demetrik Swindler of Charleston, South Carolina; four great grandchildren, Cameron, Nigel, Kamari, and Faith; her mother, Ms. Carrie Bell Leake of Clinton, South Carolina; one sister, Rose (Horace) Kennedy of Clinton, South Carolina; two brothers, Matthew and John E. Booker both of Clinton, South Carolina; aunts, Wygneia (Leroy) Gary, Ella Young, Thelma (James) Jones all of Clinton, South Carolina; nieces, Shayla Kennedy of Clinton, South Carolina and Katrina Booker of Greenville, South Carolina; four nephews, Greg Williams and Detrick Martin of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Michael Kennedy of Clinton, South Carolina and James Anderson of the United States Army; and many other extended family members and friends.
Annie was like sunshine and a breath of fresh air. Everyone who was fortunate to meet her was left with a lasting impression...from her infectious smile to her sweet personality and humble spirit. No matter how empty you were when you entered her presence and her home, you can rest assured that you would leave full..full of joy and laughter, full of love and most definitely full of food.
